Sean has performed at every sort of private event - parties of many kinds, weddings and memorial services. Any of his wide collection of culturally significant instruments can enhance your gatherings, small and large.
Weddings + Parties + Memorials + Travel Costs
Weddings
Two of the most commonly requested instruments for wedding performances and ceremonial accompaniment are the Highland pipes and the Irish (Uilleann) pipes. However, any of the rest of his extensive collection of instruments can be made available, to suit any and every ethnicity of the bride and groom's families. All his bagpipes, from every culture, have wedding traditions attached to them.

Ceremonial accompaniment
An example wedding ceremony performance ($250):
A performance at the gathering before the ceremony.
The walk up the aisle (processional tunes): Groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids, and the bride.
Meditation (slow air - something besides "Amazing Grace" why?).
Recessional (happy, high spirited jigs or reels after the pronouncement).
This is merely an example, however, and particulars of the performance can be tailored to your needs.
Reception performances
The reception is a separate engagement from the wedding ceremony. You may choose either or both, as suits your needs.
Sean can provide music during dinner and/or for dancing. Types of dance accompaniment include waltzes, polkas and country (folk) dancing in lines and circles with calling (instruction). Rates for both services are $100 per hour or fraction thereof, plus transportation fees outside a 30 mile radius from his home.
Sean also can arrange to have a harpist available, for an additional fee, depending on availability. With an additional performer, the combinations can include concert harp, pipes, flute, concertina, guitar, bodhran (drum), and additional vocal performances. Please inquire for availability.
Why not "Amazing Grace?" Sean will play it, but as it costs extra - $350. "I have to stay the whole wedding in a kilt just to play one tune!"
Parties
Sean can provide music for all kinds of private events and gatherings. Quiet background music during a dinner and/or more energetic performances for dancing. Types of dance accompaniment include waltzes, polkas and country (folk) dancing in lines and circles with calling (instruction), as for wedding receptions, above.
Rates for both services are $200 for 3 hours, plus transportation fees outside a 30 mile radius from his home. Due to the informal nature of parties, the times can be flexible, however, after the initial 3 hour performance, there is a rate of $100 per hour up to a total of six hours maximum.
Sean also can arrange to have a harpist available, for an additional fee, depending on availability. With an additional performer, the combinations can include concert harp, pipes, flute, concertina, guitar, bodhran (drum), and additional vocal performances. Please inquire for availability.

Memorials
Funerals and memorial services, being an emotional time, are often enhanced by music. Sean will perform at services, graveside and at the gathering afterwards.
Accompaniment for memorial services is $150, and a performance during the interment or scattering of the ashes is $100, plus transportation fees outside a 30 mile radius from his home. After either or both of these performances, Sean will perform at the family gathering gratis, in memory of the deceased. If you wish to book Sean for a memorial, please email him for availability.

Travel Costs
Travel costs outside of his hometown are in addition to performance fees, and are as follows:
30 - 50 miles: $25
50 - 75 miles: $50
75 - 100 miles: $100
