School Programs

Sean has developed an amazing and engaging repertoire of School Performance and Educational Programs. All of Sean's instruments are either part of, or available at specific request, to be a featured part of these events.

Sean's assembly program is designed for Elementry K-6, Middle, or Intermediate Schools, and High Schools. Sean has also given performances and presentations at Colleges and Universities, such as University of California, Berkeley, U.C. Santa Cruz, U.S.F. Catholic Unversity of San Fransico, Loyola Marymount University, at Los Angeles, and Ohio State University, at Kent, OhioContact Sean for details.

Sean has also done 2-week Residency Programs, during which he teaches each class (room) group, over 6 class hours, which is parceled out, or scheduled, over the two week time frame.

Programs for 6th Grade, have included Ancient Greek and Roman Music (and the origins of modern instruments).

Programs for 7th Grade, have included Medieval and Renaissance Music. Both of these Programs "keying in" to required history studies for these Grades.

Sean's Programs can cover Singing, Basic Music Theory, World Music, and the Physics of Music, including time for directed student activity, that can include making instruments, and student participation, the practice of singing, playing the instruments, and so on.

Sean is flexible, and will "fit" into your schedule, and meet your needs, in regards to time and topics associated with the grade plan, and YOUR specific requirements.

Please inquire if you would like more information.

Assembly Programs

A typical School Assembly lasts an hour (45 minutes, minimum), for one Assembly, for the entire student body at: Elementary schools, Intermediate (or Middle) Schools, and High Schools.

Fee for this Assembly is: $350.

At large Elementry Schools,, the program can be split, for these "High Population" Schools, into TWO 1 hour segments, for grades K-3 and then 4-6. The Second Assembly has a slightly different, and more concise language, in regard to the explanations of the instruments.

The fee for this "Double Assembly" is: $450.

Sean will give a price break, to promote Musical Education in Schools, in the following way:

Sean will perform at the total cost of $350, the Double Assembly", IF he can be booked at other schools in the district. Thus, the second show can be counted as a "Free Assembly"! It's not hard to do two Assemblies at one School, as Sean will already be at the School, and set up, for the first show. Sean prefers to do only one school per day, in this format, as the set up and tear down, are very involved ,due to the large number instruments that are part of Sean's "Double Assembly" performances.

Sean has given Seminar instruction in Bagpipe Reed Making, Irish and Northumbrian Piping, and Flute, Tin Whistle, Hurdy Gurdy, and other topics in his musical purview.

Private Instruction can also be arranged, but due to the large amount of time Sean is traveling, this Instruction cannot be for extended periods of time.

Please contact Sean for more information.
